I had so many successes and revelations during this program. One of the biggest results is that with your help and guidance I was able to break through that weight plateau. The interesting thing was how this was done. Over the course of three months, we made tweaks to when, what, and how much I was eating. One of these changes was when and what I was eating for breakfast. For instance, reviewing my wellness logs, revealed that breakfast fruit smoothies was not the best option for me because of my work schedule. The other big change was increasing the number of calories I was eating per day. This gave my body calories to burn when I worked out. The largest and most impactful change was to cut out processed sugars. I did not realize how much sugar was in all the food I was eating. I noticed a difference in my body and how I felt.. I felt better.

About Me

My health journey started around 2013 after graduating from college feeling depressed and lonely. In a massive life transition (from college to life after college), I felt like my identity was lost and to top it all off I was so unhappy with how I looked and who I saw in the mirror. I was 35 lbs heavier than when I started college and I had the habits to match the weight gain. I spent my senior year of college pulling all nighters, feeling super stressed about senior year assignments and life after college, and binge eating and drinking.

While transitioning into my first full-time job post graduation I was able to create a fitness routine around a full-time work schedule. I used that transition as an opportunity to create new, simple and healthier habits, like prepping and packing lunch for work, eating more veggies and protein. I wasn’t just losing weight while making these changes, I was creating a solid foundation for my health journey. 

Health became the focus of my life, through fitness and nutrition and other wellness habits like meditation. It wasn’t until years along this journey that I had a health scare that has helped me evolve even more on this journey:

In July of 2020 I started to break out in edemas and massive hives, my digestion was messssed up, and I was constantly tired. After having an subpar experience with local Doctors I decided to take a more natural and holistic approach to figure out the root cause of my health issues and how to heal it. After 1.5 years, and multiple diagnosis, I ended up working with Dr. Futterman, ND who knew almost instantly what was going on. She provided me with protocols for parasites, and Epstein-Barr Virus, and within a year I was back to my “normal” self. 

Throughout my journey I have tried so many different fitness modalities, and many different dietary approaches as well. While most of the practitioners I worked with along the way were very educated, and helpful, I found it challenging to stick to a protocol without specific guidance and accountability which is why I created aligned health + wellness coaching. 

One of the most important elements of change that I strive to help my clients learn is how to tap into what our bodies are feeling when we start to implement a certain change. I love teaching my clients how to listen to their body in a simple way that they can identify when changes need to be made to improve how they’re feeling and their overall health + I’m excited to help you learn how to do that too…..
